I have been facilitating a New Year angels and planning workshop for several years now and they are always popular – better than making New Year resolutions! Create your own mandala for 2012 and work with The Angel of Creativity and The Angel of 2012 to plan your hopes, dreams and possibilities for the New Year. Did you know that each year has an angel? People expect this year to be unusual. Ignore the prophets of doom and work with angels to create the new Golden Age on Planet Earth. The angels say that when we work with them, there will be a new Golden Age. Remember we are co-creators with the Creator. We create with our thoughts and imagination, (making an image within), with our intentions and our positive affirmations, so it’s up to us what we create. THE ANGEL OF CELEBRATION

Angels love to be with us when we are celebrating. Every year is full of celebrations, whether it is Christmas, birthdays, weddings or another. We send out our invitations, using post, email, text message or a phone call. Have you remembered to ask your angels to join in the fun? You can use your thoughts to do this. When we have a celebration, I will often drink a toast to them. Remember, as my book suggests, that you actually have a whole team of angels, one for everything you do in life. They like to be invited, as we live on the planet of freewill. Unless you are in a challenging situation you need to invite them to join you. When things are difficult (I prefer to say challenging) we often do ask them, even if we only say “Oh God!!” And as they are Divine messengers they will come.

When you celebrate, we are with you
Even if unseen, unheard, we are always with you
We love to hear your laughter
And see your excitement.
If you could see us,
You would see how we fill your rooms with colour and light
And the subtle perfumes of Divine love,
That engage the senses of your soul and spirit.
Though the days are dark and cold
In The Northern Hemisphere
We draw close to remind you of the World of Light,

MESSAGE FROM THE ANGEL OF JOY

Life is meant to be fun and full of joy. Every day do something that makes you feel joyful and happy. Every day, do something for yourself that you really enjoy, even if it is only for a few minutes. Think about or make a list about the things you love to do, that nourish your soul and spirit. Make time for one of these each day. Once a week spend a longer time on something special. It is not SELF-ish to be Self-Nurturing and Self-Aware. Feed your soul and spirit as well as your body.

An Angel Story

Ruth was at my angel workshop. She was doubtful about the name of her guardian angel. She said she heard the name Robin. “That can’t be the name of an angel,” she said. “It’s a boy’s name.” I told her that often seeing a robin is a sign that there are angels near. I saw one and heard it singing when I was getting into my car to drive to the workshop. Just then we heard and saw one outside the window. Getting confirmation three times is one of the ways that angels confirm what you see, hear or think about them. Ruth was sure then that her angel was called Robin. The robin’s red breast is a sign of Divine Love and is a powerful and popular symbol on Christmas cards.

ANGELS OF THE WINTER SOLSTICE

The Winter Solstice (or Summer for the Southern hemisphere) was on December 22nd at 5.31 a.m., GMT. This is when the sun enters the Zodiac sign of Capricorn. Capricorn is an EARTH sign, which represents SERVICE through action. The angels of this element help us to develop the feeling of strength and connection with nature and all forms of created life, including the earth herself, rocks, minerals and crystals. They help to awaken an awareness of the unity or oneness of all life, in all its manifestations. Their work is to encourage the mind and the heart to aspire to love and care for all human life. It is a time when people gather together and celebrate family unity. The Zodiac Angels of Capricorn inspire stability, strength and courage. When you are in the presence of these angels, you can become taller and firmer, with a more erect posture. They give you the strength and energy to keep on with all you have to do until it is complete. They also bring a feeling of clarity, and you will somehow know what is important and what you need to do, and what you can dispense with. Notice any difference in the way you have felt after the Solstice. This is the shortest day of the year, the most yin day of the winter. In the Southern hemisphere, where some of my friends will read this, it is hot, yang and the longest day. But here in the UK we are really looking forward to the days lengthening, getting lighter and warmer. As I write, it is forecast to be the warmest Christmas since records began. It is good to feel warmer, even though the hours are short.

Meditation

The Crystal Angel, Archangel Cassiel, comes forward to speak to us during the sign of Capricorn, Christmas and The Solstice. Crystals, particularly Quartz, are full of energy and are powerful healers. Modern living relies a lot on quartz. It powers computers and digital technology. Crystals each have their own angel whom I call the crystal deva. Archangel Cassiel oversees crystals and is often called The Angel Of Temperance, meaning living a balanced and harmonious life. His keynotes are harmony, peace and serenity.

Sit quietly and turn off the phone. Light a candle if you like to have one. Burn essential oil of frankincense or myrrh. If you have a quartz crystal, hold it or sit by it. Begin to breathe softly and gently, following your breath into the chest. Notice each breath as it comes and goes until you feel calm and tranquil. Then imagine (visualise) golden light flowing into you with each breath. A sphere of golden light begins to grow in your heart chakra and it expands and expands until it surrounds you. You see a path of light stretching ahead of you and you walk along it, through the light. You reach a large building, like a temple or cathedral. It has beautiful doors formed of pure crystal. The sun shines on them and they radiate all the colours of the spectrum. The doors open and you go in. You are in a large circular room. There are curtains and tapestries lining the walls. There are seats for you to sit on. The roof of the temple is an immense pure quartz crystal, cut into many facets. Archangel Cassiel is waiting to welcome you and has a message for you.

“Here in the Crystal Temple all is harmonious.
Come here when you need strength and courage.
If you are grieving, or filled with sorrow,
Come to the temple of crystal.
It will fill you with clarity
So you will see your way forward.
It will fill you with courage
And remind you of the Divine Spark of Light
In your heart’s chakra.
My Crystals will lighten your dark times.
Gaze into their clear centre,
Feel their energy
Become uplifted.”

Cassiel invites you to lie on a couch. The cushions and throws are your favourite healing colours. Soft music fills the air. The crystal in the roof begins to revolve and radiates many colours as light catches each facet in turn. You lie there until you feel revived and strengthened. Your whole being is balanced and aligned. Thank Cassiel for the healing and leave the temple. Once again, follow the path of light. Become aware of your body and the chair where you are sitting. Visualise roots of light from your feet into the ground to earth you. Breathe deeply until you are ready to finish your meditation. A drink of water will also help you to feel refreshed and alert, ready to face daily life once more.
