ARCHANGEL GABRIEL CHRISTMAS MEDITATION

Sit in your favourite meditation pose and centre yourself by tuning in to your breathing. Notice each breath as it comes and goes. Feel yourself growing peaceful and calm. As you breathe, begin to visualise yourself bathed in light. It shines down on you from above your head and you feel as though you are sunbathing. The rays of light begin to fill every atom and cell of your whole being, filling you as water fills a vase. Your whole aura begins to radiate and sparkle like millions of tiny suns as each cell lightens. Then you find yourself rising, as on wings of light, until you are in a world of beauty and light. You find yourself in a temple of golden light. Your own Spirit guide is beside you. In front of you is a magnificent angel, Archangel Gabriel. S/He wears a sparkling white robe and a golden cloak. You may see this archangel as pure colour and light, may see a smiling face, may only be aware of a beautiful presence. Take some time now to decide how you see or sense this archangel.

You feel filled and surrounded by peace and contentment. Whether you see or sense this archangel, the over riding sense is of peace. There is nothing to fear – ever. You know you are always safe. It is written in the ancient books “He has given his angels charge concerning you.”

Archangel Gabriel places a golden cloak around you. It covers you completely. The golden cloak symbolises spiritual wisdom, so the archangel is giving you the gift of spiritual wisdom, spiritual understanding. There is another gift. The lining of the cloak is a colour just for you. Decide what material it is lined with. It may be silk, velvet, net, lace, anything that is right for you. Then see the colour. Each colour is also a spiritual gift for you, something that will enhance your understanding of spiritual things. You and your spirit guide know what you need. Take some time to work with the colour and the material of the lining. You may know what the spiritual meaning is, but see below for some explanations.

There is one more gift for you. Archangel Gabriel takes a beautiful candle and lights it. The flame will always show you the right thing to do if you think of it. It is placed in your aura, in your heart centre. The flame is also a symbol of the heart centre and your connection to the source of All That Is – The Light.

The 3 Gifts of Christmas for you are the golden cloak of wisdom, the colour of its lining and the candle flame to light your way.

After some time, return to focusing on your breathing. Begin to breathe more deeply and open your eyes when you are ready. Feel the contact between your feet and the ground. Take some time to feel sure you are not too floaty. Drink some water to ground yourself.
