AUGUST MEDITATION, 2005

This month’s meditation is inspired by angels. On August 14th, we are holding an angel celebration to commemorate the Harmonic Convergence of August 1987. On the 17th August, that year, there was a worldwide event, when healers and lightworkers meditated for half an hour at 2.00 pm, local time. It is said that enough people did this that it brought an inflow of light into the planet and it is since that time that there has been an increased interest in mind, body and spirit and related topics. August 14th is the nearest Sunday, so we are holding a small celebration here. Your guardian or personal angel is with you from birth. It knows everything about you and loves you unconditionally. It sends you guidance through dreams, hunches, intuition and meditation. When you have met your angel in meditation you make a more personal contact with it and are able to receive clearer help. Many people say that their lives improve after this. Remember that you need to ask for help, as this is the planet of free will. Free will means that we are able to choose between doing the right thing or the wrong things in life, or to do good or not.

MEETING YOUR GUARDIAN ANGEL

Find a safe place where you will not be interrupted. Turn off the phone and ask your family or housemates not to interrupt you. Tell them how long you think you will be. You can light a candle if you like, play relaxing meditative music that stills the mind, burn incense or frankincense oil. Lavender oil would also be suitable. Breathe slowly and rhythmically. Above your head, visualise a blazing light. It can be like the sun or a star, or perhaps a spotlight. It bathes you in light and you feel as though you are sitting in a pyramid or shaft of light. As you breathe in, you feel as if you are breathing in light and it fills every cell of your body. Breathe the light into your heart and chest and feel a lovely warm glow begin to expand and fill you.

Soon you see a flight of steps in front of you. They sparkle and gleam in this blazing light, as if they are made of pure crystal. You walk up the flight of steps. There are seven. At the top there is a beautiful temple. The doors are formed of golden light. Two angels stand there, one on each side of the door. See what colours they are wearing. You stand there and you know that your own special angel is on the other side of the door. They open and you see a magnificent being of light. It is like a rainbow, with all the colours shimmering and sparkling, sending out rays of beautiful colour. You walk into a spacious hall. It is filled with flowers and colours. You feel very safe and protected, but ask three times if the angel is from God and all light (or choose your own form of words). When you are sure the angel is from the light, it shows you into a small room with a white seat. You sit down together and you ask your angel what its name is. Listen and see if you get the name. Don’t worry if you are not sure. You will have it confirmed. Ask the angel what special qualities are coming into your life to help you at this time. Listen or get a sense of what it is. If you don’t get anything now, you may get it some other way. You know that this angel is all love and has known you from the beginning of time. Remember, you need to ask the angels for help, they cannot interfere with your free will.

When you have finished talking to your angel, thank it for the help it has given you. You leave the temple, going down the steps, but knowing that you can return whenever you need to. Now you know the way.

Become aware again of your breathing. Breathe more deeply and begin to rub your hands together. Cup them over your eyes and feel the warmth. Massage your forehead, face, jaw and open your eyes. Stretch your body. Visualise roots going from the soles of your feet into the ground to earth and ground yourself. Have a drink of water and go and write down what happened in your visualisation. Keep a record of them all, with the dates, so that your spiritual and inner guidance becomes clear and shows your progress.
