LATEST NEWS
We celebrated the beginning of the New Year by spending a week in Luxor, Egypt. We were very lucky because we missed the snow and cold of the first week of January here. As Kathleen’s birthday is in January, it gives a good incentive to do something in a warmer climate. There’s not much to do in this one when it is so cold. We spent the week sunning ourselves by the River Nile and visiting the antiquities and temples. We saw the Tombs of the Nobles in the Valley of the Kings and The Village of the Workers. The village is about 4,000 years old. It is still fairly intact apart from the roofs. Although the houses were made of mud bricks, being buried in the sand protected them.

Also it rarely rains there. The tour guide told us that during the 20th century, there were 80 years without rain. We told him they could have some of ours any time! It hardly ever stops here! This part of Egypt has a plentiful supply of water from the River Nile and its canals and from the Aswan Dam. We also visited the Temples at Karnak and Luxor, which is the biggest temple complex in the world. It is still being excavated. It has been several metres under the sand and there is a mosque there, see picture below, which was built in part of the ruins before they were excavated. It was then on ground level, but now it is on the upper story, so deep had most of the temple been.
As essential oils and aromatherapy play a part in our work, we were very interested in a visit to a perfume factory. The Egyptians are well known for their perfume, which has no alcohol in it, because Islam forbids its use. We have brought back some perfume called Isis, which we will sell at £7.50 for a 5ml. bottle. The perfumier was called Al Fayed, but denied any relationship to the famous one!
INTERMEDIATE / ADVANCED DAY FOR YOGA TEACHERS AND EXPERIENCED PRACTITIONERS
The Secrets Of Yoga Sequences
This will take place on Saturday April 4th at our home studio in Ealing and is in addition to a similar day on March 7th which is already full. It will be intermediate to advanced level standard and will concentrate on YOGA SEQUENCES that provide free flowing gentle movements with a meditative focus. We will include two versions of the Moon Salutation (Chandra Namaskar), the Earth Salutation (Prittvhi Namahar), the Salutation to the Four Directions, the Egyptian Sun Prayers, plus some chanting (mantra). Yoga sequences assist in removing energy blocks, balance and align the chakras, and provide a powerful focus for personal transformation. They are perfect to include in a short personal daily yoga practice. The cost of the day includes handouts for each of the sequences and hot drinks. Please bring a packed lunch. For FRYOG yoga teachers, this will provide professional development. The course will run from 10.00 am – 4.00 pm and the cost is £40.
ANGEL AFTERNOONS
The latest angel workshops have taken place on Sunday afternoons and have been very popular. In November there was an Archangel Gabriel Afternoon and on February 1st an Archangel Michael Afternoon. An afternoon course of 2½ hours costs £25 and is followed by hot drinks and biscuits. It follows a faster pace than a one-day course, which costs £50 and includes a crystal especially dedicated to the Archangel for participants to use and take home. Both types of course include light refreshments
ARCHANGEL RAPHAEL’S HEALING
Saturday May 9th 10.30 am – 4.30 pm
Archangel Raphael is the archangel of healing, creativity, travel and abundance. If you are a healer or interested in being one, or looking for healing for yourself or friends, come and find out about Raphael. Kathleen will share her insights about him and the use of essential oils, gemstones and bodywork like massage and yoga. She really felt his support and inspiration while writing the book “Essential Oils and Meditation.” He particularly inspires the use of plants in healing, whether it is traditional herbal medicine and essential oils or orthodox medicine. A lot of orthodox medicine is also developed from plant material. Raphael inspires all healers, therapists and medical workers. KEYS Angel workshops are always held on special days. May 9th is the day of the full moon and it is the Wesak festival, the birthday of Buddha. It’s a good day to tune in to personal and world healing.
For more details, see the website
or phone for a leaflet.
CRYSTALS
CRYSTAL HEALING AFTERNOON WORKSHOP
1st March 2009 2.00 pm – 4.30 pm
The cost of the afternoon is £25.
Spend an afternoon with Kathleen exploring the healing and transformative properties of crystals. Find out how to attune to the Crystal Deva, the angel of the Crystal Kingdom, to enhance your abilities to work with crystals for yourself and friends. Learn some crystal layouts that help with healing. The cost of the afternoon includes the loan of crystals for the workshop so that you can experience how to use different crystals.

We always try to keep a good stock of special crystals, so if you are looking for that special one for healing, transformation or meditation, please make an appointment to come and look at them.
MEDITATION
THE TEMPLE OF LIGHT
Centre yourself with your breathing. Feel cool air at the tip of your nose breathing in, warm breath as you breathe out. Visualise a bridge of light above your head. It is a rainbow bridge from earth to heaven that you can safely travel on in meditation. It stretches from your feet to above your head, shading from deepest rose to violet through all the colours. Above your head the light becomes paler until it is pure white light. Your personal angel is with you. You begin to rise up the bridge of light, realising that even in the white light you can see all the colours, though faintly, like mother of pearl. The rainbow bridge becomes like pearly light and you move upwards, through the light. You reach the end of the bridge and step off into a large garden. Walk through the garden, past flowerbeds, and through avenues of trees. In the distance you see a beautiful building. It looks as though it is made of light. As you move closer, you see that the walls are formed of purest crystal that shimmers and radiates light and colour.
This is The Temple of Light, where you may come to receive highest guidance from your own angels and the archangels. Your own personal angel is by your side as you walk up to the temple and go in. Inside, the walls reflect all the colours of the spectrum. You can hear angelic music. You are filled with a sense of belonging here, a sense of peace and tranquillity. You have come home to your true spiritual home. In the temple are many rays of light and colour, rather like theatre spotlights. Choose a colour and walk into the spotlight with your own angel beside you. Look into the ray of colour and you see an altar with a scroll on it. It has writing on it that glows like fire. It is your name - not your earthly name, but your true spiritual name. Pick up the scroll and read in it what it is you have contracted to do in this lifetime. You may be surprised or you may not. Then your guardian angel takes you to Archangel Metatron, the Angel of Karma, who keeps the akashic records, the records of every life. He blesses your work and gives you encouragement to continue with what you have to do.
It is time leave the temple and you begin to travel back through the garden and down the rainbow bridge, until you are back again in your body, back in your everyday life. Breathe more deeply, stretch and slowly open your eyes. You may want to have a drink of water to become grounded again. A walk in the fresh air is also helpful.
MEDITATION GROUP
This meets on a Thursday evening, once a month at 7.30 pm. The evening costs £10 and includes light refreshments. If you are an experienced meditator and are interested in joining us, please ring or email for information. Dates for the next few months are February 26th, March 26th, April 30th, May 21st, June 25th & July 23rd.
WEEKLY YOGA CLASSES
TUESDAYS. This 1½ hour class meets at 7.30 pm.
WEDNESDAYS. We have 1 class of 1½ hours, at 6:30 pm.
THURSDAYS. We have a 2 hour yoga and meditation class from 10:00 am. to 12:00 noon.
In all cases, numbers are limited to not more than nine students, so that they can have individual attention and support. We do not do drop in classes and payment is by the term or half term. We teach classical yoga, which includes proper breathing, yoga postures, relaxation and meditation. Kathleen specialise in the gentle approach to yoga asanas (postures), which can be achieved through breathing into the poses. This encourages people to work up to their full potential gradually and to achieve mastery in yoga. Please ring if you are interested in any of these classes.
THERAPIES
Kathleen continues to see clients for Zero Balancing, Indian Head Massage, crystal healing, massage and aromatherapy treatments, and for personal yoga training and relaxation. Please ring for an appointment.
We do gift vouchers for that special occasion or for birthdays, in a presentation card.
Note that yoga and therapies are not a substitute for medical help if needed.
Best wishes to you all from both of us.
